In December 2025, the MPO identified approximately $3.5 million in federal funds to be programmed to projects in STIP Years 2027 through 2030. Funds available to the Dixie MPO originate from the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) and the Dixie MPO Small Urban Funds (SU).
Seven separate projects requested funds in December 2025:
• Audible Pedestrian Signals (TAP)
• Hamblin Parkway (SU)
• Santa Clara Trail Feasibility Study Mathis Park to Fire Lake (TAP)
• Merrill Road Widening (SU)
• Pioneer Parkway Pedestrian Path (CRP/TAP)
• River Road Widening (SU)
• Trail Etiquette Signage (SU)
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a 5-year program of transportation projects for roadways, transit, and active transportation for the urbanized area of Washington County. The TIP funds and implements projects that are on the Regional Transportation Plan.
The TIP is updated and reviewed annual to reflect any changes in priorities, needs, readiness, and available funding. The TIP is completed in collaboration with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), SunTran, and local jurisdictions.
